Innovative is an understatement when discovering a Kretchmer piece. Known for his revolutionary tension-set designs, his settings secure the stone in place by a compression force of 12,000 pounds per square inch. The result? Greater brilliance and unobtrusive viewing of the precious stone.
Steven Kretchmer died on July 8th 2006 as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was considered to be one of the geniuses of metallurgy and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The company will continue to produce Steven’s designs and promises to keep the high standard that Steven was known for.
